ZecMarket is a peer-to-peer marketplace paid in Zcash. People post listings for goods, services, housing and more; buyers pay sellers directly, wallet to wallet.
What we stand for
- We never hold your funds. No deposits, no escrow account, no fees on sales. Every payment goes from the buyer to the seller.
- Shielded payments only. Sellers receive on shielded addresses, so amounts and parties stay off the public record.
- As little data as possible. A username and a password are enough. No analytics, no third-party scripts or fonts, nothing loaded from other sites.
- Private messages stay private. Messages are encrypted with PGP before they reach us; we store only the encrypted text.
- It works without JavaScript. Browsing, posting, ordering, paying and reviewing all work with JavaScript turned off, which also makes the site usable over Tor.
Moderation
Moderators review reported content and listings held for review, close disputes and can warn or ban accounts. See the terms for what is allowed, and the FAQ for how everything works. To write to us about something sensitive, use our PGP key.
What is next
Payments that protect buyers without us holding funds (bonds, then multi-party escrow), in-browser encryption for messages, a forum and a map. The changelog lists what has shipped.
